Why learn HTML?

The internet has become such an integral part of the modern world. Having just a basic level of understanding of how to construct a web page is a skill set that affords the powerful opportunity to communicate and interact with others. Given the fairly simple structure and syntax of HTML and CSS, there is an opportunity to introduce a curriculum that teaches the fundamentals of HTML and CSS to children who have an interest in learning how to code and create web pages. In the process, the children will gain building blocks for future learning and engagement in technology. This site will host a set of introductory lessons and provides links to additional resources.
